Renewal by Andersen® of Seattle provides the best patio doors in the business, as well as the most convenient and hassle-free replacement process you will ever experience. Our patio door replacement process enables us to ensure consistent results, including the long-term performance of your new patio doors. Here’s an overview of our replacement process and what you can expect from it.
Consultation and Preparations
The process begins with an in-home consultation with our expert consultant. Every consultation is a collaborative process between the homeowner and Renewal by Andersen. We don’t simply hand you a brochure and ask when you’d like your new doors; we strive to understand exactly what you want and translate that into custom-designed patio doors that fulfill your precise wishes. At the end of the visit, you’ll receive a copy of the written estimate, which you can review, amend and ask questions about at your convenience. You can simply tell us when you’re ready, then we’ll have you sign a contract.
Once you greenlight the project, we will send the specifications to our facilities in Minnesota, where our experts will craft your new custom-made gliding or hinged patio doors. As a full-service company, with every step from manufacturing to installation performed by Renewal by Andersen employees, we guarantee your new patio doors will be ready in time for installation day.
Patio Door Installation
Our team will arrive early on the day of installation and will start making preparations to ensure the entire process goes smoothly. This includes moving your furniture out of the work area and protecting everything with dust covers, separating the installation area with drop cloths, and wearing shoe covers at all times to avoid tracking dirt into your home.
Once everything is ready, we will expertly remove your old patio doors, then inspect the wall openings and make repairs as needed. We’ll position your new patio door frames, shimmed and leveled, before we drive in the screws. Once the foundations are laid out, the sashes, weatherstripping installed and foam insulation inserted around the frames, then the trim will follow.
Finally, our team will clean everything and even dispose of your old patio doors. All of our installations undergo a strict quality check, and we won’t consider our work done until you are satisfied.
