Are your windows old and drafty? If so, it’s time to consider window replacement from the top window contractors in the region: Renewal by Andersen of Seattle®.
Read on as we walk you through our signature installation process.
Expectations During Installation Day
After taking precise measurements of your wall openings and manufacturing your custom window replacements, the crew will arrive at your home on time on installation day. They’ll be prepared to handle certain challenges like differences in wall materials and thicknesses, variations on the casing or sill constructions and potential structural damage. You don’t have to worry about potential delays because the well-trained workers have years of experience dealing with these pre-existing window conditions.
The crew will prepare the work area with drop cloths to catch debris and dust and will remove any furniture or fixtures from the area to prevent damage during the installation. Once everything is set up, they will remove your old windows.
Any warped parts of the open window area will be fixed so that the replacement windows fit perfectly. Insulation foam is then applied to the gaps between your new windows and the house frame. This ensures an airtight, weatherproof and energy-efficient window. The foam is covered with a trim to match the interior.
Once the finishing touches are done, the crew will clean up everything. Old windows are disposed of properly, dust and debris are removed, windows are shined, and the furniture and fixtures are put back in place. Before they can call it a day, they will perform a product demonstration to make sure that you are comfortable with operating your new windows.
