For the second year in a row, Renewal by Andersen® of Seattle, a leading local window replacement contractor, has committed to making a difference in the lives of people with breast cancer by joining the “Wear Pink. Save Lives.” campaign. Here’s what you need to know about the campaign.
How the Campaign Got Started
In August of last year, Renewal by Andersen Vice President of Affiliate Operations Jeanne Junker was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. When the news about her diagnosis was announced at the annual Owner and General Managers meeting, people throughout the Andersen community came together to extend a helping hand.
In a move to honor Jeanne and the 3.3 million breast cancer survivors nationwide, the company partnered with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to fight against the disease. This spearheaded the “Wear Pink. Save Lives.” campaign.
Exceeding Expectations
Last year’s campaign was a huge success. The collective network was able to raise more than $207,000 for the organization—shattering the initial goal of $150,000—in a span of a few weeks. Countless Andersen employees committed their time, talent and resources to support the cause.
“Imagine a World Without Cancer”
This year, we continue our partnership with the ACS. This time, the goal for our fundraiser is $300,000, and we are hoping to exceed it once again. If you see our installers, sales representatives and canvassers wearing pink, know that you, too, can make a difference in fighting for a world without cancer.
